Hosting Tip:
Prepare your guests ahead of time that they will be enjoying an indoor & outdoor experience at Legacy Hill Farm. In the fall we recommend guests come prepared to be outside comfortably. Depending on the weather of the day guests may desire coats, jackets, mittens, gloves, scarves, blankets, etc. Let your guests know they should be dressed & prepared for the weather of your wedding day on your wedding website.
Finish Your Look With Layers
Did you fall in love with bridesmaid dresses that were designed for summer?
No problem. Simply add layers for a versatile look that mixes beauty with utility.
Jackets, shawls, and cozy blankets provide the perfect way to keep people warm while also giving them the ability to quickly drop layers for a picture.
Hosting Tip:
Gift your wedding party & honored guests with a layer they can comfortably wear that will be perfect for some photos. You don’t have to wear layers in every photo, but having easy access to the comfort of warmth will be enjoyed by all. As an added bonus - consider having cozy blankets for honored guests that will be seated during your outdoor autumn wedding ceremony to provide extra care & comfort.

Highlight ways for your guests to enjoy the warmth. Put a basket of blankets by the bonfire for guests to easily grab & enjoy, add a lounge with Hello Wildflower for the patio and position some cozy patio heaters around it to create a functional & beautiful sitting area. Plus, if you book our premium solo stove package you can even position solo stoves near a lounge too!

Most fall weddings at Legacy Hill Farm host their wedding ceremony outdoors. Outdoor fall wedding ceremonies are easy for guests to love if they arrive right before they start and then promptly progress to the warmer spaces.

Legacy Hill Farm is known for its long captivating sunsets. We’re also known for our beautiful star filled twinkle lit nights. Consider the timing of sunset as you plan out your fall wedding experience.

7:46 PM CST on September 1st.
6:50 PM CST on October 1st.
5:59 PM CST on November 1st.
Take note of the timing of sunset for your wedding day and build out a timeline that leaves room for incredible sunset photos.
In the fall, weddings tend to naturally draw to a close earlier in the evening. It’s very common for a fall wedding to end around 10 PM / 10:30 PM or even earlier.
