The price looks great at first.

Then you go on a tour or the contract arrives.

And suddenly… the number changes.

Lighting Fees

You tour a beautiful reception space with glowing chandeliers or warm café lights overhead and naturally assume those lights are included.

Sometimes they aren’t.

We’ve seen venues charge $800–$1,500+ just for lighting.

Technically, it’s listed as an “enhancement.”

But for many couples, it feels like the room they thought they booked suddenly costs more.

Mosquito Spraying

Some venues offer mosquito treatment before the wedding day, but charge an additional spraying fee to do it. Some venues minimally spray for mosquitoes.

At Legacy Hill Farm we utilize digital table layouts that provide you with an overhead view of our reception space.

We’ll have all your tables and chairs in place and ready for you when you arrive on your wedding day.

Plus, we’ll be the ones to wipe down your tables, chairs, and floors after the event too.

Your wedding venue set up and tear down are included.

Ceremony Fees

Another hidden cost couples discover later is the ceremony fee.

You’ve already rented the venue.

But hosting the ceremony on-site requires an additional charge.

Sometimes this is a few hundred dollars.

At Legacy Hill Farm we don’t have credit card fees. This lets our couples easily stack up all the credit card points and rewards they desire. Plus, we also offer multiple payment plans that make it easy for you to not only pay with a card, but also stack all the points.

Required Linens

Linens are another hidden wedding cost that can add up quickly.

Some venues require tablecloths for every table, meaning couples must rent linens whether they planned to or not.

At Legacy Hill Farm, our signature reception tables are designed to be beautiful on their own, so linens are not required, which saves our couples a lot of money.

Many couples choose to skip them entirely and let the natural wood tables become part of the design or couples are welcome to still use linens to create their desired look. At Legacy Hill Farm linens are a choice, not a requirement.
